This year, Kiwanis Esch/Alzette asked the AMAL to assist with their idea of an exhibition about racing motorcycles. Since that breed of motorcycles is rather uncommon in most of our sheds and barns, it was clear that the exhibition was only feasible with the help of our member Paul Galles.
Paul was eager to display his bikes in the spectacular location of Lasauvages former church and offered to bring a dozen of his precious bikes to the show. So, on the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd September, with the help of a few friendly members (and nonmembers!), a rare collection of precious race bikes was ready. The following gems (among others) were on display:
1949 Moto Guzzi Gambalunghino
1953 MV AGUSTA 125 Monoalbero Corsa
1959 Norton Manx 30M 500
1962 Honda 50 CR 110
1963 Moto Morini Bialbero
1963 Honda CR93
1977 Yamaha 750 TZ
1984 Honda 500 RS
1985 Maxton
1997 Honda RS250R NX5
Outside, just in front of the church, the AMAL stand was gaining a lot of attention as well with a fair amount of nice member bikes being on display over the weekend.
The AMAL would like to thank Paul Galles for the bikes, Kiwanis Esch/Alzette for the exemplary organization, the many helping hands for their time as well as all the people who came to visit us at History Vehicles Lasauvage.
