This summer, a bunch of AMAL members participated in the Tour de Provence pour Motos Anciennes. This ride, exclusively reserved for pre 1945 motorcycles, has taken place from 23rd to the 27th of august in Sénas/Montclar in southern France.
Moto Club Sénas Durance organizes this 32st edition of the Tour de Provence, famous for its exceptionally beautiful routing. Five days of riding, with an average of 200 kilometers per day, led to a total of 1000 kilometers trough some of the Vercors region’s finest sceneries.
This year’s edition was plagued by extreme weather conditions. Bikes and riders, tormented by soaring 44 degrees of heat on the three first days, followed by 14 degrees on the last two days, we put to a rude test.
Nevertheless, participants were treated with memorable views and roads while some might even remember to open their oil petcock during one of the next editions…
